I got locked out of house in Brisbane not that long ago, and it was actually not as embarrassing as I thought it would be. I had no idea what to do, so I called my father. I had only been living in my new home for about three months, so I had not yet given anyone a key to get in, other than myself. I would have given my parents one, but they live almost 200 miles away so I just did not see the purpose in that.
When I called my father and he could finally stop chuckling, he told me that I had really just one option since I did not hide a key anywhere nor had I given a key to anyone else. He told me that I needed to call a locksmith in the area. I had never had the need for this kind of service before, so I really was clueless on what kind of locksmith I needed. My father told me to give him a few minutes and he would take care of it for me. He went on his computer and looked at several that are in the same area that I live in.
He was looking at some independent reviews of each one. Even though he lives over three hours away, he still wants to make sure that his baby girl, who happens to be almost 30 years old, is going to be okay. For him, that meant making sure I had a locksmith with a great reputation. It did not take him long to find the one he was most comfortable with, and I had the locksmith at my house within the hour. My dad paid for it, and I promised to send him a key. If I ever lock myself out again, he told me I have to come home and get it from him!
